Pastors Sherry and Sergot Dorzilor are the dedicated and dynamic Lead Pastors of Faith Above Ministries, a thriving church in the heart of Harlem, New York City. Raised and spiritually rooted in the Manhattan Church of God—a Pentecostal church—they’ve spent over two decades growing in faith, leadership, and service.
With a shared passion for outreach, discipleship, and building strong, Christ-centered communities, the Dorzilors lead with both heart and vision. Their ministry is uniquely centered on family, with a special focus on nurturing faith within the home and empowering families to live out their God-given purpose together.
As proud parents of four young adult children, Sherry and Sergot understand the joys and challenges of raising a faith-filled family in today’s world. Their leadership reflects that lived experience—grounded, grace-filled, and deeply committed to walking alongside others on their journey of faith.
Through Faith Above Ministries, they are cultivating a multigenerational movement where families are restored, lives are transformed, and communities are reached with the love and power of Jesus Christ.
At Faith Above Ministries, we believe that everything begins and ends with Jesus. He is not just part of our lives—He is our life. Our decisions, relationships, worship, and daily walk are all rooted in Him. We strive to live in full surrender, aligning every area of our lives with His Word, His will, and His example.
Jesus is the foundation of our faith, the source of our hope, and the model for how we love, serve, and lead. By keeping Christ at the center, we are empowered to live with purpose, unity, and passion—reflecting His heart in everything we do. to seeing you there!
Jesus came not to be served, but to serve—and we follow His lead. Serving is not something we do; it’s who we are. Whether inside the church or out in the community, we look for every opportunity to love people through action, meet needs with compassion, and make a difference wherever God places us.
Prayer is our lifeline and first response—not our last resort. At Faith Above Ministries, we believe that prayer connects us to the heart of God, aligns us with His will, and releases His power in our lives and our community. We prioritize both personal and corporate prayer, knowing that nothing lasting happens without it. Through prayer, we seek His presence, hear His voice, and invite His Kingdom to come in every situation.

The Church of God believes the whole Bible to be completely and equally inspired and that it is the written Word of God. The Church of God has adopted the following Declaration of Faith as its standard and official expression of its doctrine.
In the verbal inspiration of the Bible
In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.
In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.
In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
